And here is the promised post about the electronic badge from PHdays 🥳

One of my subscribers ( @pleasestxpthis , who is already won in my competition ) this time I didn’t just go to the festival, but also won a PHdays electronic badge ( stop this guy, he will win everything and in all competitions ). He gave me a short interview in which he told me exactly how he succeeded. Let's stock up on popcorn and get ready to read an exciting story 🍿

I'm telling you from his words

Ilya arrived at the site early - around 10-11 in the morning. I wanted to have time to meet other participants and assemble a team. He walked around the stands, communicated, learned new things - and then bam, and the quiz had already begun 🫡

He was able to team up with several guys. The team was named "Ours" . We were inspired by the words of the presenter: "This is a game for our own people" . “Ours” competed with another team, answering questions in the field of information security. In the game they were literally neck to neck, but they were a little short of victory - literally 100 points. There was a chance to escape due to bonuses from the presenter, but they were distributed equally, and that’s all 😳

But our hero does not lose heart. If it doesn't work on the first try, there will be a second one ( we respect this approach ). He immediately assembled a new team ( I mean, really right next to the same button - only he remained from the first command ). They called themselves BootLoader. Here, as they say, whatever you name the ship, that’s how it will sail. And BootLoader, if anything, starts first 🧠

Then the real cyber battle began. At first they won by reaction - they simply pressed the button the fastest. But then the CyberPandas caught up with them. And now both teams are on par - 3200 points each. What to do? Right. Bonus round. Three questions. Answer two - and victory. Real, deserved, honest 🏆

And here it is - that same interactive badge. Yes, the same one that Positive announced long before PHdays itself. Customizable, with Wi-Fi, with the function of playing melodies, with the ability to upload your own animations. Well, as a bonus - Erich Krause pens ( no comment, just a fact ) 🎁

CyberPandas, by the way, also did well. They were given another award - everything was fair, everything was beautiful.

Then there were more super games with a chance to get a black badge ( and this is practically an artifact, it is only given to VIP guests ). And although there was a slightly different format with subtraction points, without that excitement - it was still cool 👍

Now for a little pain. Connecting to the badge itself was not so simple. With the Samsung A71, our Ayotovite couldn’t access the device’s web interface. Some people came in right away, others were transferred automatically. And he connected, but it wouldn’t let him into the site. As a result, I had to tinker with the settings, find the Manage router button and go to the local panel. But then - customization, music, effects. True, animation with white color is almost invisible ( merges ), so I had to choose the darkest blue, and only in the dark was anything visible. But, as they say, it works 🤌

The quiz categories were very diverse: cryptography, discrete mathematics, hex dump, circuit design, data structures, programming languages, Wi-Fi naming... And that’s not all 😍

Ilya also met volunteer girls there who wished him good luck and, according to him, most likely really kept their fingers crossed for him ( if you like this post, you will find your volunteer girl within a month 😉 ). And judging by the result, it worked
