There are films that seem to start out like an ordinary comedy - with jokes, failures and slightly ridiculous characters, and then suddenly make you think about yourself and your life. "Personnel" ( originally The Internship, 2013 ) - just one of these ( Thank you very much to Kinopoisk for highlighting this film in my recommendations. ) 👍

The comedy tells the story of Billy and Nick, who work as ordinary old-school salesmen who have been thrown overboard by the digital age. At some point, they lose their jobs and decide to take an internship at Google. Then, throughout the film, we watch as two grown men suddenly find themselves in a new world and, instead of giving up, try to figure it out

There are actually many more similar stories. Same now "Old school" comes out, which partly follows this path ( By the way, the series is very cool, fans of “The Office”, one of which I am, will enjoy it 100% ). But it is in the “frames” that it is somehow presented very easily and pleasantly. Our heroes teach something to younger guys, and they, in turn, show Billy and Nick a different life. And it’s so cool and kindly shot and acted that this is the only way the film lifts your spirits. At least I enjoyed watching it 😍

The film looks light and cheerful. This is not one of those comedies where they try to teach you about life - it just shows that change is not scary. That sometimes a new start requires nothing but courage. And yes, there is something very warm and nostalgic in this story. Especially if you yourself were once an intern ( and I was ) - albeit not in Google, but the feeling of the same delight from the first serious work is never forgotten

I give “Personnel” 9 out of 10 . Watch it in the evening after work or on the weekend when you just want to breathe out, smile and remind yourself that it’s never too late to start again. Pretty sure you'll like it 👍

P.S. Just in case, I will say that I do not advertise Old School. I just really liked the series. I even paid myself a subscription so I could watch it to the end. I love this style of Macumentary, and I have liked Aronova as an actress for as long as I can remember. Therefore, this is purely my personal recommendation ( like everything I've ever talked about on the channel )
