As you remember, earlier I conducted survey about how many of my subscribers are in the MAX messenger and whether there is any point in duplicating content from the channel there. Then I casually mentioned that I was thinking about my own website. This post is exactly about that.

Then I got a little boiled over ⤵️

I take a principled position on issues of freedom of speech and freedom of choice. Therefore, I do not consider it normal to impose any product so aggressively, simultaneously removing all possible competitors under any pretext and actually not leaving people the right to decide for themselves where to communicate and receive information. In my opinion, this is exactly what is happening with our sovereign-national-patriotic messenger

It is not just promoted through various extremely interesting precedents like age confirmation at checkout through him. People are literally forced to install it because they have already been transferred there and school chats, and brownies, and even university

So I decided that I won’t create a channel there under no circumstances. I don't want to support the disgrace that has been created around his promotion. And I definitely don’t want to be involved in hammering nails into the coffin of freedom in my dear country ( no matter how loud it may sound )

Now to the topic of the post

Since there are fewer and fewer sane alternatives, I decided to do own website, which will collect information about everything I do. Mine will be there articles from different sites, posts, performances ( conferences, meetups, podcasts, etc. ), projects from GitHub, and eventually other materials. So far, it mainly contains articles from Habr, but I plan to write separate longreads specifically for the site ( which do not fit very well into the theme of Habr )

I also connected a notification system via email. It works quite simply: you go to the website in the section "Subscribe" and choose which sections you want to follow. If you only need posts, like in this channel, just select the “Posts” section. Then you need to enter your email and confirm it using the link from the letter. As a result, notifications about new publications will be sent to you by email along with a link through which you can immediately open the desired material ( article, post, etc. )

Since my site is not related to Telegram, I hope he will be able to continue to work calmly without unnecessary problems. At least until our Internet is finally switched to “white lists only” mode ( and my site is unlikely to be included in them )

I will continue to run the Telegram channel until criminal liability is introduced for this. On the site in the section with posts I will just duplicate for now postsfrom here, so that you can read them without logging into Telegram if you are unable to do this due to the restrictions imposed

P.S. For now, you can’t leave comments on the site, but I plan to gradually improve the functionality, so I don’t rule out that sooner or later such an opportunity will also appear.
