Updated in October
Oura Ring
(
smart rings, if anyone doesn't know
). I'm as always
promptly
I'll tell you about it
🛞
Oura Ring was originally developed to track sleep and physical activity, but with such new features it becomes a more interesting tool for the prevention and detection of diseases in the early stages
🦠
I think this is a really exciting step for wearables and personal IoT. But I can't help but say
security
design
. Yes, this time I want to talk specifically about design, and not once again focus on protecting IoT devices. Most likely, not everyone knows this, but I rely very heavily on the principles
Steve Jobs
in terms of design. So Steve said a very important thing:
The design of the device, interface, etc. should be such that it makes it easier for the user to interact with it. To first of all make it comfortable and convenient to use it on an ongoing basis
💻
So, I think that at the moment the ring is too massive for constant wear, especially for those who value aesthetics. Well, it looks ugly and not practical even on men. I can't imagine wearing something that thick on my finger. If developers can make it more compact, like a wedding ring, this product will not only be technologically advanced, but also truly mass-market
💍
. Of course, technology needs to be developed. I believe that over time the ring will be made thinner and more elegant. But for now it is still more perceived as an interesting gadget, but nothing more
💍
What do you think about design in technology?
🙏

Open original post on TelegramOura Ring continues to expand its health monitoring capabilities. Now the smart ring can detect early symptoms of respiratory diseases by analyzing 20 telemetry parameters. Data on temperature, pulse, respiratory rhythm and other indicators help the application draw conclusions about possible deviations in health status📱

Design is not about how something looks, but how it works.
