Here's a new word for you to add to your vocabulary -
trustworthiness
🧑🎓
In May of this year ( yeah, I'm the speed itself ) standard was published ISO/IEC TS 30149:2024, in the development of which she participated "Kaspersky Lab". This document is aimed at increasing trustworthiness IoT devices, and it provides detailed guidance on ensuring the security and reliability of these systems
🤙
Personally, in my opinion, such standards play an important role in a world where smart devices surround us literally everywhere. They ensure compatibility between devices from different manufacturers, reduce the risk of gadgets with serious vulnerabilities, and increase user confidence in technology. In general, standardization is an important process ( although not the highest priority, since practical implementation will be more important )
😎
🙏
What is ISO/IEC TS 30149:2024?
For starters, this is a standard and it introduces the concept of trustworthiness. And no, this is not the same as "trust"
🤓
Five main aspects of trustworthiness:
The standard provides detailed guidance for manufacturers, developers and integrators of IoT devices and systems. It describes architectural approaches to building trusted systems, emphasizes the importance of risk management at all stages of the product life cycle, and establishes requirements for documentation and certification of devices
👨💻
🤌
The adoption of ISO/IEC TS 30149:2024 is an important step towards creating a more secure and reliable IoT ecosystem as a concept and as a concept. We hope that this will help reduce the number of gadgets with critical security problems and increase user confidence in smart devices
🤝
The implementation of this standard will take time, but in the future we can expect safer smart homes and cities ( and let’s not forget about the personal Internet of things )

Reliability is the ability of a device to prove its security and reliability in practice, and not just in the words of the manufacturer
Five main aspects of trustworthiness:
Functional safety: the device must operate without failure and not cause harm to the user
Cybersecurity: protection against cyber attacks and unauthorized access
Confidentiality: ensuring the protection of users' personal data
Resilience: the ability to withstand external influences and quickly recover from failures
Reliability: durability and stability of the device
The standard provides detailed guidance for manufacturers, developers and integrators of IoT devices and systems. It describes architectural approaches to building trusted systems, emphasizes the importance of risk management at all stages of the product life cycle, and establishes requirements for documentation and certification of devices
