History and prospects for the development of the personal Internet of things

The study examines the personal Internet of Things as a special stage in the evolution of the Internet of Things concept, associated with the transition from infrastructure-oriented digital systems to personalized cyber-physical environments integrated into a person’s living space. It has been demonstrated that the development of IoT from the ideas of ubiquitous computing and network connectivity of objects to PIoT is accompanied by a change in the ontological status of a thing, a transformation of subjectivity and a restructuring of social relations. The purpose of the study is a philosophical analysis of PIoT in ontological, epistemological, axiological and socio-philosophical dimensions, taking into account modern technological trends, including artificial intelligence, Edge AI, TinyML and context-oriented control systems.
